Access Keys Multimedia Criteria
Multimedia can cause issues for most disability groups so make use of any accessibility features built into multimedia software. Points will be awarded for each of the following:
- At the very least provide a transcript of any multimedia presentation, broadcast, etc.
- Add captions to describe audio content in multimedia. By captions we do not mean the type of subtitles used to translate foreign language films which only provide dialogue text. Captioning here means indicating all sounds (bells ringing, doors opening, dogs barking, etc.) for the deaf or hard of hearing.
- Use sign language captioning where possible and affordable.
- Provide an audio description for visual multimedia content where you can.
