Context Changes Access Keys Criterion

Avoid any extreme changes of context.

• An extreme change of context is something the user would not expect to happen logically and which might take them somewhere unrelated to the page. Examples include popup windows, automatically activating searches and being taken offsite - especially to an unrelated page such as a sponsor's site.
• Points -
  • Three points - no warning provided.
  • Two points - warning is provided.
  • One point - if it is not activated automatically.
• Criterion weighting has not yet been determined, more research is necessary.
